What are you drinking tonight?

with sugar and creme.

Anyone make their own? I know it's illegal to distill your own hooch but it's perfectly legal to make the alcohol in the first place. Decided to make my own rum last week, started my batch on friday. Cost me ~30 bucks to make 25L worth of 20% rum, should be ready for saturday night. Might not be as strong as the storebought stuff, but I'll see how it tastes anyway. If I drink a couple liters of it, it'll still be worth the money.

I had a buddy in college who used to bring moonshine back to school from the hills of TN/VA. That stuff was freaking ridiculous. I remember going to a rodeo for the very first time with my redneck buddies and we pre gamed by sipping moonshine out of the old Welchs Grape Jelly jar. Good times we had, good times...

My favorite from them. Try St. Sebastiaan Reserve (or Golden). It's belgian and it whips ass, also. Those two are tied for my current favorites.

I went for Delirium tonight, thinking that perhaps Belgium could do no wrong, but I was wrong. They've successfully gotten me drunk, but I'm not impressed with the flavor at all.

Mike

regarding the Delirium, did you have the Tremens or the Nocturnum? Also did you follow the directions on the bottle regarding the correct type of glass to use ,the slow pour to get the right head and to enjoy in slow sips, or did you drink straight out of bottle. I bought a 4 pack of Tremens last weekend for 20 bucks and for that price I wanted to do it right. I followed the directions to the t and had the most colorful and vivid dreams that night when I went to bed. It's been awhile since I have had to wake up just to assure myself I was only dreaming. Looking forward to try the Nocturnum.

You guys should come over to Belgium, you'd be plastered 24/7 :)

Jeez. The 4 pack of Tremens here runs $15. It was consumed "correctly", but I'm not sure doing it wrong would have helped. I'll stick with St. Sebastiaan in the future.

I switched from beer to mainly hard kombucha recently. Just switching things up. These are my favorites as of late. But they make some really interesting flavors, including one with hot chili flavor. They're just a little "cleaner" than most beers. And zero carbs doesn't hurt either (when you're spending 4 hours a week in the gym).

I had a Negroni at a restaurant the other night, and really enjoyed it. So, I went out and bought the fixins' for them and am going to make my own.
