I just got it yesterday afternoon and haven't started it yet, but it looks at first glance like a fairly serious book, despite the lurid title.Oh, nice. How is [Sharks of the Air]? This one will certainly find it's way into my reading pile unless it's really awful.

I'm currently reading Palahniuk's book Haunted : a novel of stories...the rest of the stories are pretty tame, but he starts off the novel with a bang...eeuugh, that put me off of reading him for a bit...
It is different and the style is not really rigidly like Doyle's -- but I found I liked the book much better than I expected.Are you a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works? If so, let me know what you think of the book and how Thomas compares.
Here's my current nightstand pile. Probably going to start on "Complicity" next.

I got about half way through Complicity and then left it at my folks when I visited. Started on another book and so on and so on, so never got back to it.
Still undecided about Banks, sometimes just a bit too slow for my liking.
