Old Fart said:I am reading The Odyssey by Homer. I am stunned by how good it is, despite the cultural, language and time (multi-millenia) barriers.
Next on the block is Crime and Punishment and Dr Zhivago. I also at some point want to pick back up with The Brothers Karamazov.
Great books! I cant wait to get my 000001984 barcode tat.
same here, well I want to pick it up in the first place.
Next is either going to be the Game of Thrones series and The World According to Garp.
I'm reading The Gallic War And The Civil War by Julius Caesar. An interesting narrative by Caesar of the wars he waged against the Gauls in what is now modern-day France. The second part of the book deals with the Roman Civil War that eventually leads to Caesar's dictatorship and death and subsequent establishment of the Roman Empire.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass - Lewis Carroll

(also picked up a complete collection of Sherlock Holmes books, even thought I've already read a couple of them).
Which should I go for first TBOT?
No, this is a 1982 "Complete Works" Edition with the classic woodcut illustrations by Sir John Tennile.Did you happen to get the one thats illustrated by Ralph Steadman?
His artwork adds a whole 'nother level of absurdity to the story.
Which should I go for first TBOT?
Mine, too. The only one of the three I particularly liked.Dracula is one of my all time favorites. So that's my vote..
