I'm about halfway through Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles by Geoff Emerick

So far it is surprisingly well written coming from someone who doesn't write by trade. He worked at Abbey Road and was there for a lot of the Beatles recordings.

He wasn't completely finished with it, but he had most of it together. There is another writer finishing it using his notes.

That's the one that provided the scenario for the "John Titor" time-travelling net scam from a few years back, isn't it?

I'm halfway through Angels Don't Play This HAARP by Nick Begich and Jeane Manning. HAARP is an experimental military/scientific installation up in Alaska attempting to manipulate the Earth's ionosphere by high-frequency radio beams.

The book's layout is terrible (more or less like a printed website), which makes it heavy going, but the content is well documented and mind-boggling in its implications.
