I go through periods where I read a lot and then I won't pick up a book for months. My reading has really cut down snce getting a computer. And cut down even more since finding TalkBass. If my posts come off as ignorant remember; it's all your fault!

Thomas Pynchon is one of my favorite authors. actually, i think he's my favorite ever. i've read all his other published works (all of it amazing to me). this is his first novel in 10 years or so. i'm excited!

I just picked that up a couple of weeks ago too (at 40% off, how could I resist? ), but I've yet to get into it. I've only read The Crying of Lot 49, but I freaking loved it. This'll probably be my late spring/summer reading project on account of the utter enormity of it.

I just read Michael Crichton's NEXT. It was a very interesting and slightly scary book on genetics and the things that are possible with the study of genetics. It was a work of fiction, but the possiblities are thought provoking.

Eyes of God by John Marco is turning out to be a run of the mill Fantasy Fiction, but I'll stick it out to see if it get's better.
