I'm reading a book called
"Les chevaliers d'émeraude"

It's a medieval/fantastic book. Not very original, not very well writen. But I like. Not the greatest book ever though. I don't recommend it! :D
Since it's in french only I don't think any one else would read it anyway.

There is 10 books released out of 12.
I'm reading the fourth one.

Awesome thread!!!! I love books, and there's a ton a great recommendations in here. :)

In the past few weeks or so I've read a compilation of Richard Matheson's short stories, In Search of Shrodinger's Cat by John Gribbin, Harbingers by F. Paul Wilson, Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris, A collection of Sci-Fi by Henry Kuttner and C.L. Moore, and I'm now working on Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke. It started off pretty well, but it's sort of lagging now.

This thread so makes me want to go to the bookstore!

I am reading the Bourne Trilogy.

I just finished the Bourne Identity, and am now reading the Bourne Supremacy.

They're so much better than the movies, it's ridiculous. The movies hardly even follow the plot, just the idea of a spy with amnesia. I highly recommend them.

I'm currently working my way through Muriel Spark's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie for five hundredth time, trying to decide on the most important quotes; it's a text we've got to know inside out as part of the coursework this year.

I enjoyed it the first couple of times I read it - it's quite witty - and a little analysis of themes etc. always helps me appreciate a good book... but that was a long time ago :(

Gradually reading Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". (That's a tough one to get through.) Also reading Stephen King's "Lisey's Story". I'm a BIG King fan.

Dawkins is an armchair philosopher who only speaks to those who agree with him. He's not seeking to win ayone over to his point of view; he's seeking to get already-entrenched opinions even more entrenched. That isn't difficult.

He might be a very able scientist, but he has no business writing books that make him seem like some "expert" on topics that he doesn't know a thing about.

I saw him give a lecture on it, and had enough. I certainly won't put money is pocket while he's still living. His points are not good: The Sacrifice of Isaac teaches people to kill, and killing is not in line with our modern beliefs. Therefore, the story of the Sacrifice of Isaac is bad, and religion too.
