Sounds like someone with a lot of rage is playing, it’s aggressive. It’s not the best, no doubt about it, but if you look at it from an emotion vs technical skill perspective, it makes sense to me. Or, it could be a joke. Being that Flea is an artist, suppose you could speculate all day long.

When I saw the video title I was intrigued. Eddie Hazel's playing on Maggot Brain is one of my favorite guitar parts ever. Couldn't figure out what Flea was going to do with that.

After watching it, I still have no idea what he did. But that wasn't Maggot Brain. And it wasn't good.
