Nobody has really had anything bad to say about the Avatar cabinet line-up. Their B410N is a 4x10, only weighs something like 65 pounds and is available in 4 ohm. From your avatar I'd say you were playing metal, and depending on if your style of metal is fast or slow, I would decide on the speaker size/configuration that way.

For fast metal, I'd go with the quickness of the 4x10" setup. Medium-to-slower stuff I'd go with the 2x12", which is also lighter. Either way, hit up Link Removed and click on "bass cabs." Very inexpensive, very light, and their B212N got voted as the best all-around 2x12" not too long ago on these here forums. There's even one for sale in the classifieds section, unless it's sold already.

I'm using something a bit unusual: a Marshall 72115 cab powered by my Ashdown MAG300 head. It's a mid-90's cabinet and I'm quite partial to the Marshall Dynamic Bass range - now obsolete. This one's a big bugger, it's a 1x15 and 2x10 cab, and crucially it's *4 ohms*. This means it's as loud as hell with 300W into it.
I've recovered it myself as it was super-tatty when I first got it. It's now got 3" castors on the side of it to help shift it...

The combination of the punch from the 10s and the deep bass 15's quite something.

The logo's something I had knocked up out of acrylic as it's my home town!

I use a Ampeg 410 svt hlf at the house and if I take my rig to play with friends I use a Mojosonic 2x10. The ampeg is to heavy to move out of my house and is hard to get in my car.
