I would like a passive fretless so... prob going to mod a Classic Vibe P Bass...
New tuners, paint headstock to match, poss j pup near bridge.

My dream bass is still a '50s p of course!

Fender Classic Series 70s Jazz. That headstock with the block/bound neck looks so sharp. (Thanks to ThePerfectBass for the great photos!)

I hear that. I may end up settling for the Mexican Standard, which is still exciting (just not as exciting). I'm not totally sure yet. Hopefully I can work out a way to get the 70s reissue.

If anything, I'm in sell mode. But if I were to buy another, it would be a maple fretboard G&L SB-2, probably with the Gun Oil Tint neck. I'm gradually realizing the SB-2 is my favorite axe, but mine's rosewood and I prefer maple. Eventually I'll get around to it.
