WHAT BASS WOULD YOU GO FOR??

Hi,

I am about to buy a new bass, and I am stuck between the Fender Deluxe Pbass and the ESPLTD EC414FM

I really want an active bass and they both have that, im more gearing towards the ESP due to its EMG pickups

I'm not a fan of EMG bass p/u's they're too rounded for me. so I say fender..but with the maple neck option...to add some "bite" to your tone.

Pbass no doubt. If you dont like it your resale would be much higher anyway.

Those are two widely different basses, in feel and in sound. What are you playing now?

At the moment I play a mexican fender 5 string jazz,
im going back to a 4 string and had good recommendations on as ESP,

Just not sure if I should stick to what i know with the Fender or trying something new with the ESP

A few years ago I had an ESP LTD-B204 that I thought was pretty nice bass. However, my preference would be for the P Deluxe. I only play 5 strings so I never owned one of them but I've tried the P Deluxe quite a few times and really like it a lot (Jazz Deluxe, too, which *is* available as a 5'er )

I mainly play my Hofner and carry a jazz or LTD,I am loaded up ready for a gig tonight just killing a little time,Seeing this thread I know what I have to do,I am getting my jazz out of the car and Im getting my LTD tonight nuff said
