I know Skjold has killer chops because I've heard a sample of his playing. Of course, Scott Ambush is a monster player also. What other bassmaker is a great player too?

Scott Ambush kicks a bunch of arse on both bass playing and bass building!!!

Albey from A Basses is a very good and solid bassist!

Joe Compito (RIP) was a great bassist as well as a great builder.

  3. With his 33" 5 string, Carey Nordstrand can play Slash's opening guitar riff from "Sweet Child O' Mine". For shizzle....... ;)

I think that Ken Lawrence has to win for the best luthier who also is the best bassist

Scott Ambush may not be the best, but he sure is the funkiest! I like that little clip on his website. His basses sound interesting to me because I like composite necks. He needs more and clearer pictures on his website.

  12. What happened to A Basses?

    Albey was a fricken' monster!
