I can't say that I prefer a brand, because my shopping proves otherwise (I have a Fender an Ibanez and now a Warwick). So I prefer anything that sounds good to me. And all of those basses have a very distinct and different sound, equally good, just different.

The Fender design. I can never really hear a fender bass like I can a strat. I DO hear the Fender design though.
