Bass Strings - TI (flats), DR (rounds)
Guitar - Depends on the song. Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Martin
Guitar Strings - Depends on the guitar. D'Addario or DR
Modern Bass Amp - Mesa
Vintage Bass Amp - Fender
Guitar Amp - Depends on the song. Fender or Vox
Drum Kit - Gretsch
Electronic Drums - Alesis
Trumpet - Bach
Modern Car - Porsche
Vintage Car - Camaro
Motorcycle - Indian

I'm not commited to one brand, but I always seem to return to Ibanez as my default brand, both for guitars and basses. There's just a comfort factor there that I can always rely on, regardless of price range or country of origin.

I'm not a collector, so I haven't owned hundreds of guitars and basses, but I've owned 10 guitars since 1996, and 8 basses since switching from drums to bass two years ago. 4 guitars and 5 basses have been Ibanez, and even though many of them have been sold, I've never once had a personal issue with their quality or playability.

So I've almost made it a personal rule now, to always own at least one Ibanez. My current Ibanez is the EHB1005 bass, and even though my Sandberg VM5 objectively sounds better, I find myself picking up the Ibanez most of the time.

Quoting myself a year and a half later, I’m apparently not very loyal. I left La Bella only to recently return, but my broken allegiance to GB has not been remedied. It’s certainly not for any shortcomings in the product. A Streamliner would be a welcome walk home for this prodigal son.

But I will refrain in the future from statements of corporate fidelity because so long as it goes boom in a pleasing, reliable manner, I only have evolving preferences. There is no need to be loyal for free, and I don’t expect corporate suitors to materialize on the merit of my talents.

Bass-wise? Absolutely none.
There is no musical equipment manufacturer who has "all" my loyalty. I buy equipment that meets my needs and standards regardless of who makes it...and just because a company made such a product doesn't mean every product they make will meet those needs and standards.

I almost said "Honda" because the last two or three cars I owned were Hondas and I can't see any reason why the next one I buy shouldn't be a Honda...but I can imagine exceptions, so I don't feel "committed" to Honda any more than I do to Modulus or Lakland or Steinberger or Schecter or...

I guess the Big Ass Fan company has all my loyalty. I will never buy another ceiling fan by any other company than Big Ass, because their ceiling fans are simply that much better than everything else I've tried.

rickenbacker and dingwall. But right now i feel that dingwall can do no wrong

For a bass? No loyalty. I keep trying different stuff. At some point I may find the "perfect" bass, but I don't think it exists.

A bit closer for amps. Huge fan of Mesa Boogie. But something may come out with "that" tone.

No brands hold my absolute or exclusive loyalty. Basslab is a favorite, but I only have a 35” scale 6-string bass as a frame of reference. DR had it for years, but they had a long run of bad batches, and I switched to D’Addario NYXLs.
