What brand has all your loyalty?

None. There are no brands that have all my loyalty. My loyalty is to myself. I played Fenders for a number of decades and own 12 of them. But haven’t gigged one live, in over five years. A Precision in the studio is still the standard. But, When I gig I need a Swiss Army knife type bass, as I play all types of music on most gigs. So it’s a modern 5 string like my Jerzy Drozd, MTD, Zon, Tune, or the like. It varies depending on my mood, what I take to the gig.

I have a few (4) Orange pedals, Orange Guitar combo (guitar), just not an Orange O Bass or actual Orange bass cabs (still using Ampeg). Will upgrade my rig to Orange one day And will get one of those O basses soon, most likely.

Seriously though, Orange is the sound in my head, and nothing comes close IMHO, nor do I need to spend (any more) time trying other brands.

Loyalty….. well the “wrong” word for me. But I’m completely satisfied with Fender ( I have Ric’s too ), Ampeg and GK.
Rotosound 66’s will always be my go to string.
Tech 21 pre-amp / DI.
Left Coast custom road cases.
As long as these companies are around I’ll go to them first in looking for new gear

I don't believe in brand loyalty, but I'm always interested in what Mr Steinberger has done/is doing, and the three instruments I own now are all connected to his work. If you've got Leo, and you've got Ned, the bass world is all there...

Rickenbacker for basses, epiphone usa for guitars and traynor for amps.


I do cheat on them occasionally when required with one usa fender, a couple of matsumokus and a crucianelli/vox, though. For amps i very rarely use my own and mostly run off backlines, so i guess my traynor loyalty never makes it to the public haha.

edit: i forgot strings! On bass, thomastik infeld jazz flats for most, rotosound tru bass 88s for the rest, and for guitar, martin retro monels

This topic comes off as a bit silly to me, but anyway here we go:

Electro Harmonix

Ibanez

Trace Elliot

Peavey

Harley Benton

Mostly, but not exclusively, and out of those I would say you can really only call me a fab of Electro Harmonix effect pedals and Trace Elliot amps (to be more specific mainly the amps they put out in the 90's before they got sold off).

But I am a fan of certain products from the other companies.

No company really have my unconditional loyalty though.

Loyalty to a brand? No. If any company makes a product that meets my needs, is of high quality, matches my personal value standards in terms of price, and has good service - well, they’ll probably get my business.

I build my own basses, so parts suppliers are where my brand loyalty lies. Every bass I have has Warmoth wood and Hipshot hardware. Nordstrand is the folks I'd love to give all my business to for pickups, but there are a few things they don't make that I need for my herd - Seymour Duncan snuck in the back door recently on a couple of builds.
