what brand to avoid

Well... i talked to a lot o peeps and all came out on different kind of brands and a LOT of personal preferences.
so i was thinking... all brands are "fine" just try them out and compare... which i think is ok and do-able.

Question is:

Are there any brands that break down fast?
Or are just not that great and mayb not even worth testing?
I have heard basses of, for instance, southern-korea instruments might be a bit crappy..

anyways. I think you catch me be now.

Plz any advice?
