What color Pickguard should I get?

I have a Lakland DPLE 1 in sherwood green. Its a Joe Osborn 4 string with a mint pickguard. I'm thinking about getting a new pickguard. What color do you think would look good? Scroll Down For Pics

Mint works on a green bass - even better than tortoise shell, my overall favourite. Personally I can't stand white pearloid on 99% of basses. But that's just me.

I would say either matte black or just a regular glossy black.

Hm, I think a white pearloid guard would make that green jump out more... a black/dark guard wouldn't work as well IMO.

How 'bout you pick what YOU like, instead of asking a bunch of strangers? Or were you looking for approval from your peers?

Seriously, not trying to be a prick, but who cares what we think. You're the one that has to ultimately be happy with the situation. If it's that hard for you to decide between those pickguards, then buy one of each and swap them out when you get bored with the current one.

That aside, if it were mine, I'd go with a pearloid, or stay stock.

I like the mint green a lot. That being said, I think a white pearl would just kill on that Sherwood Green.

Good point but Im a terrible decision maker. It takes me like an hour to pick out a pair of shoes (and half of the time I get the same pair)

I don't know...I'm liking that mint guard you already have on there. It just looks... right. Tort sounds gross on a green bass, as does the black. The white comes in distant second for me, but the mint really looks good.

I don't get Mint Green. It's white.

I didn't realize it was more forest greenish. I would think a tort guard might look nice on that. Hard to tell.
