What color should I paint this bass?

Generally speaking, the color of bass I like is either White, Black, Orange or Natural. So I'd say go with white. 
That is funny!
What can I say, I like copper~!
What do you call that color you decided on? I'm assuming it would look vastly different depending on the lighting, flash, room... etc...

I was gonna say surf green or seafoam too, but I like the color you decided. Plugged in to see the finished product.

I went to Sherwood Williams' automotive paint store. I picked this color since it was the closest to the seafoam green I was looking for. It's more saturated than the original. It really pops after I got a coat of clear on it.
They were able to put it in a rattle can. Less than $14.
It will be a bit before I put it all together. I've rushed with auto paint before and dented the paint before it cured. I'll wait a couple of days and wet sand the clear and spray it again.
I'm using a Hipshot A chrome bridge and chrome knobs. The pick ups are EMG TW which are dual mode. Maybe I can get a variety of sounds similar to a jazz, precision, rick, musicman. Who knows?

Very nice! It's almost a radioactive version of the daphne blue I went with when I had my Bongo fretless refinished after my son was born:

I googled Marvin Martian images. There are hundreds of samples with matching and contrasting colors. Good luck with your project.

It was my first body design. I morph a strat and a P bass. I was going for a strat look in a bass; even put in a tremolo.
The bass was stolen and was scuffed up pretty good. I had a friend paint it originally to match the car I had at the time. I couldn't really touch it up and make it look right.
I was fortunate to get all my guitars back but not my guns. Being robbed really messed with my head for a while and this bass lost it's mojo for me.
I guess I'm too much of a perfectionist to let some things ride. The horn was too short so the bass had pretty significant neck dive. I moved the strap button to the body behind the neck like the Gibson Explorers and that helped. I can't tell you how many pickguards I made, none of them ever really looked right to me. The tremolo was a fun "gee whiz" thing but I really don't have a need for it. Subsequently It made the action too high for my liking.
I learn so lessons from it so it's still good. A journey that helps me realize that everything may not be perfect but it still can be good.
I have a Schecter Hell Cat with a quarter size chunk out of the finish near the jack from the same robbery. I'm thinking about refinishing it. Of course the Dean acoustic bass I paid $150 for had the least amount of damage.
No pick guard. I started routing a groove in the board that will lie just below the pick ups before I glue up the blank so I have a channel to run the wiring. So the controls are mounted from the rear and I don't need a pick guard to cover the routing on the front for the wiring.
Thought about painting the headstock to match but I decided I wanted to keep some of the mojo from the first bass.
I dig your bongo; just the modern/retro vibe I am going for. Well done.
Here's what I went with. It really looks different according to the light. Here it is in the sunlight against the backdrop of my Dodge Challenger hood. It looks more green in incandescent light.
I have to wait to finish it till the paint hardens. I'll post finished pictures soon.
The nails in the pick up cavity are temporary to hold it off the workbench when I flipped it over to paint the backside.
The bridge and knobs are chrome. It looks black due to the lighting. I was torn between black and chrome hardware but decided on chrome for a classic retro look. Plus with three humbucker styled pickups I thought that there would be a lot of black up front already.
The tuners, strap locks and Tele style jack plate are black.
It's been fun playing and turning knobs.
