So, I bought this at Goodwill for $20 (20%off the sticker). But after looking, I don't think it's an Epiphone. I've been looking all over for a headstock like this, and can't find anything. The body looks like a Squire, there's one screw that is out of place, but it's pretty darn close.
Did someone put an Epiphone neck on this? Is it counterfeit? What is it?
For 20, I did alright. One of the pots is broken, and missing that knob, but the pickups work, and it sounds fine. A few small dings, but it's in pretty good shape.

Epiphone Accubass. They originally didn't have the Batwing headstock when they first came out in the mid-late 80s. They had an Explorer type headstock or as some here on TB refer to as the hockey stick.

Then in the early 1990s they changed to the batwing design.

I bought one for 60 bucks in 2019, pups were shot, cleaned the bass up, put a EMG GZR P pup in it, got a custom truss rod cover, and did a setup on it. Actually used it in some studio recordings back in January and July of 2020, just because it's a P bass. It did the job well, but has been stored in a soft case ever since. Currently remodeling my practice / rehearsal space over the next month. When I'm done I think I'm going to break it out and hang it on the wall.

It was pretty grimey and a lot of fade. This was when I was changing out the pup.

If its Samick made, its probably solid build....gotta love the headstock....ive seen several of those decdes back in pawns but never under $100.

Yes, nice little student basses, the bat-wing Epiphone Accu-bass. I had a Kramer Focus at the time too, 2018.
