It is a fender cab The rest of the hardware says fender on it and it has a serial number. It also says patent pending. I used advice people gave me and took the back off. I've got a nice speaker in there. Thanks for your suggestions!!

I was amazed at the quality of the speaker in the cab. They're $250 to $300 on eBay. I just like the darn thing because I'm demented. Hahaha!!

Okay so don't throw up I don't play bass. I didn't understand why it was called a bass cabinet. I can get an amp and play my guitar through it I think. Yes I know that's so ignorant it IS funny!! Good gosh!! Shoot me in advance every one will die simultaneously when they read this.

Thank you all for your kind help. The fabric on the grill is black from wear and dirt. Its a light color with silver flecks on the back of the fabric where its clean. The cab is upright now. Sorry for the confusion my bad photo caused. I bought it to part out or to use as a decoration for my music room. As it turns out the speaker that remains is of very good quality. One is missing.The speaker is a 16 ohm JBL model 131 by James B Lansing sound of Los Angeles. I've been told the cabinet was made between 1967 and 1974. Another bidder at auction must have gotten the amp which probably would have been a tube amp. I know every one will think I'm crazy but I love it. Thank you all so very much for your kind help. You can Google the speaker and info comes up on it!! Thanks again to all who answered.
My budget for gear is limited and rarely can I afford vintage.

I'm glad you have a great sense of humor! I suggest measuring resistance of the cab from the outside connector. Should be around 3/4 of nominal that your amp wants. If it's = or > than your SS amp fire it up and enjoy. If you have a tube amp, post the results and someone schmarder than me will reply.

Expect a bit dark, or very dark, but your chubby strings should be strong.

But they crash and burn like everyone else.

Oh you're still welcome, we only fire the drummers here. That cab and speaker will sound nice with whatever instrument you plug in. Go middle of the road, get a bandmaster head and a bass VI.
