TIL that I’ll be teaching a 2nd grade class come Friday!

I’m looking out the back door at a Helluva moon, yet two sources tell me that the By Gawd Full Moon wont be out my back door until Tomorrow night.

Friends n Neighbors...the moon doesn’t get much Fuller than it is tonight!:woot:

I’ve done the math...I’ll be subbing a group of 26 Second Graders on a (wait for it...it took me a minute) Full Moon Friday The 13th! :roflmao:

Today i learned that medical offices rarely answer their phones any more. I’m having to schedule a few appointments for some tests and after the better part of a full day on the phone trying to reach three different offices to schedule an appointment, i never once talked to a living person. Everything was a series of shuffles through an electronic menu with no choice for talking to a real person. The best i could do at all three places was leave a message telling them i needed to set an appointment but had questions before i could commit to a date so could someone please call me back. So far no reply from anyone.

Keep at it, sport. They'll come around, eventually.

One can certainly hope. A couple of them are close enough it would easier to just drop by but i’m reluctant to do that right away. Instead i’ll wait until i’m three wrong words from pulling the pin and hope some surly minion dresses me down for not doing it over the phone. Or i’ll jot a quick note to each office and drop it in the mail tomorrow if i don’t get a response by then. There’s nothing critical or time sensitive going on, it’s just measuring progress (or lack thereof) of my recovery from some procedures around this time last year so i’d need to really work up a case of self righteous indignation to be convincing if i visit in hopes of doing my three dollar act. the first option would be infinitely more satisfying, but option two will be much more likely to get me a favorable outcome. And they say old dogs can’t learn new tricks. :D

Don't feel bad...a live person on the phone doesn't guarantee any better results.
Recently I had some tests done, resulting in the need for some minor outpatient surgery. It was all supposed to be taken care "in 10 days to 2 weeks". I'm thinking, great, this'll be over quickly. Well, each of the three involved medical offices (and labs) dragged their feet, lost my results, etc, and it dragged into a two-and-a-half month soap opera. It took numerous calls by me to follow-up time and time again, reminding these staffers that they still hadn't done what they said they'd do. Finally it's all over but it was a fiasco just getting people to do their jobs. (Rant over.)
