I’ve been using my Zoom H4n for the past 12 years. Before that I used a Zoom H4. I record most rehearsals and I try to record gigs as well if I can find a spot for the recorder.

Nope. Cell phone camera, edit, postHi guys,
What do you use for recording rehearsals? At the moment I just use teh default app on my phone. I then have to wait til I get home and go through 3 hours of crap to cut out the few productive bits and then post it for the others.
Is there a better app to use? Perhaps one that automatically pauses when it detects theres no music being played?
Im sure there must be a better way to do this.
Cheers
Zoom H6 Using the XY or MS pair and 2 Russian clones of the RCA 77 Ribbon Mics set up as a Blumen Pair. I use the limiter in the Zoom.
the Tascam DR-05X or something similar is brand new, better and $99.
Please tell me more about the limiter - I wasn’t aware of it and I use the H-6 to record concerts at the U often. I have a love/hate relationship with compression, but I am a big fan of limiters used in a subtle way.
Was using the iPhone voice memos but the built in compression is too much...
