Yes, Our reasons for doing it are all a little different. For me its really fun and a great feeling to be onstage. Here's an amatuer video, the sound is only from the cameras, so its not the best.

It's a good album with some great tracks on it.

I never considered their songwriting to be very strong. But Dee Snider is one hell of a frontman, and they put on a killer show.

i'm just sayin, since dee sniders name got mentioned. my mother and older brother met him at olive garden. they were laughing at him from accross the place for 20 minutes before they realized who he was. "he looked like the worlds worst 80s influenced midlife crisis"

i thought that story was hysterical..

I know a drummer who likes to wear dashikis onstage. White guy, too. He likes them because they're loose, although I must say some of them make him look like a tourist in Kenya

Under the Blade and Tear it Loose are metal classics. "What You Don't Know" is also an awesome show opener And talk about underatted bassists, Mark Mendoza has just about the most unique style I've ever seen. very cool. I was fortunate enough to have shared the stage with them several times, back in their club days.

we have a tradition that we go to a thrift store hours before our gigs, and bring $10 and buy the most rediculous looking clothes we can find. sometimes they turn out good, but other times they are just bad. i will try to find some pics of one of those bad fashion nights.

Anything That Makes Me look sexy and that I'm comfortable to play and sweat In. I'm usually wearing tight retro clothes or a toxedo depending what kind of weddings or party or show I gig.

Don't be either. Only girls and other gay guys are impressed by drag queens. Most guys would much rather have a real woman (but I know a fair amount of guys who would go for either with the right amount of booze---for me, the Adam's apple is a dead giveaway, despite every single drag queen in the world thinking we don't notice).

He has a pretty good band, though...

It's extremely varied, based on what job I'm doing.

There are pretty much many "standard" uniforms.

1. The club/bar gig.....jeans or cargo shorts, depending on the season, and either a sports Jersey (Green Bay Packers,
Chelsea, Aresenal, England Rugby, The University of Toledo Football are my current favorite shirts), or a button down left untucked.

2. Weddings casual.......dress pants, tucked in button down, dress shoes. ( we do a LOT of weddings, and haven't been asked to dress formally yet. It helps being in Ohio rather than the East where weddings tend to be a lot more formal)

3. The outdoor "Island Party" type gig...... Lots of these this summer. Usually cargo shorts, hawaiian or bowling style shirt, boat shoes

4. Casual private party gig........dockers, jeans, or shorts, bowling style shirt usually.

5. And...as Jimmy mentioned, the "gigs for hire" I usually do the required universal band uniform...all black.

Twisted Sister's music and look aside, I will always hold Dee Snider in high regard ever since his address to the US Senate committee that tried to censor music in the 80s. He was articulate and spoke intelligently. The committee tried to make him look bad but only exposed themselves as the bigots they were.
Good on him.

I was thinking of multiple wacky costumes to wear on stage. My ideas so far would be:
-80's outfit: some stonewash jeans, ugliest neon shirt i can find
-track outfit : inspired by juno
-winter outfit : dunno about this one, maybe way too hot

Other than that I want to find old hair metal band t-shirts
You can tell alot of people try hard on what they wear for gigs, I wanna do the opposite and just be goofy

I try and stick with clothes, but then again, I don't gig right now. At the house, flip flops, shorts and a t-shirt, and of course my bass guitar
