What does a guitarist without ego play?

I guess I should count my blessings.In 40 years of gigging I've played with maybe 1 guitar player who had a huge ego and was a general pain.

Sounds like a bunch of people here need to buck up and fire the people playing guitar for them. The people described here aren't guitar players, they're a-holes. And if you continue to put up with it, then you are squarely to blame.
