What does Essex's "SX" stand for?

I wonder if Kurt goes to sleep at night knowing that millions of otherwise potentially productive man hours have been spent by a select handful of zealots who are compulsively obsessed with every detail of his 150 dollar basses.

I know some very nice looking 150 dollar girls that can't get that kind of love.

Yup, there's there legend himself...

Ok, next thread we will get to the bottom of the origins of other mysterious brand name's hidden meanings...like Fender, Gibson, Tobias, Valenti, Ernie Ball, and Steinberger. :smug:

It's not about hidden meanings, it's the lineage & history behind the instruments I would like to know more about. The brand logo Shelter on what clearly appears to be an SX bass intrigued me. I'm curious if the "S" could actual be tied to these "Shelter" instruments. The Shelter brand is not mentioned anywhere on Team International's website. Looking for useful input from some TB'ers. :smug:

It was a joke

But yeah best of luck on your quest to find the history/lineage or w/e :)

Still looking for that useful input. Anyone?

If you can PM Bongolation, he knows more than anyone that I can think of on the topic of Asian imports. Whether or not he bothers with SX, I can't say for sure since he looks for great deals to invest in to turn for a profit later...I don't think anyone is buying SX for that. But he may have very well picked up some interesting information about SX or Team International is his dealings, or may know someone who can help you out.
