What does your username mean?

I was playing some odd sounding scale riff one day and my buddy asked what it was. It was the Locrian Mode with a sharp second (6th mode of the jazz melodic minor scale in case you didnt know). It was about the same time I signed up for Talk Bass and since I couldnt think of a user name well... that just came out

My first two names are Joseph Zachary (I go by my middle name, Zach)... Joe Zach -- which my cousin started calling me when I was twelve because it was like ProZac... so it became JoZac...

Mine is our band name, which stands for Johnson, Smith (me) & Kohler. We'll be celebrating our 30th anniversary as a band this October. We got tired of our name at the time (The Helmuts) about 20 years ago and couldn't all agree on a new one, so we did the initials thing as a stop gap until we could agree on one name. Well, we're still trying to agree on a name 20 years later. We now have a drummer named Hancock and a keyboard player named Mazzola. We've offered many times to change to a real band name for them, but they don't seem to care one way or the other, so JSK it is...

And yeah, I play 5-strings, one P and one J...

Back in the '80s I was in a top 40 band that covered a lot of Madonna tunes. Our lead singer really covered her well, right down to the look. Madonna fans were sometimes referred to as "wannabs"

I know, technically, women who wanted to be like her. But LA Lyon, my singer, referred to us (her band) as her wannabs.

I used to be a want-to-be.

I spent most of my youth growing up on my grandfathers farm, Skitch is a word you used with working dog's to 'draw attention' to 'to rile up', 'set the dog to work'. I believe it comes from Southern New Zealand, it reminds me of back then.
