The winterburn comes from way back when I was about 13, a friend had come back from a trip from British Columbia and was telling me about it, told me they went through a place called winterburn, I loved it, made an e-mail account immediately (even before he could just to copy me) and have been using it in internet usernames ever since.

The 69 is just a "dirty" number that I thought was hilarious when I started using winterburn69 for everything 9 years ago.

Mine is simple, well mostly if you're familiar with the Christian Metal movement in Australia. Mortification is my favorite band which includes bassist Steve Rowe. He is my main influence and reason for picking up a bass in the first place. Next, 78 is the year of my birth.

Sorry dude I have to share my favorite quote about Christian metal -
" you're not making Christianity better, you're making rock music worse! "

Hank Hill, King of the hill

You know, In a large part that quote is well earned. There has been many "Christian Metal" bands out there that are ruining the Metal music genre. Mostly, these bands still think they are in the hair band era, sing operatic vocals along with decent rock sound. The point is, any comparison makes "Christian Metal" sound lame. Something critical is missing in the way Metal music should sound. It's not the lyrics, it's the style that "Christian" music misses altogether. I have found that style combined with strong christian lyrics in the Australian Christian metal scene. Invalid Link Removed is a highly recommended site that I frequent. Grave Forsaken, Mortification, Horde, The Crucified, Deliverance(although some operatic vocals:(). Check it out great music with a good message!! There is something for everyone there.

Not actually a poke, just a quote that made me laugh out loud. Dunno if you get king of the hill down under, it's a cartoon show from the creator of beavis and butthead.
I love good music, doesn't matter if it's Christian or not. Huge fan of king's x and Stryper

I agree with Kings X, I haven't heard them in a long time but they're awesome!! BTW, I'm not from down under:D. I found Mortification and Deliverance in a kids christian mag when I was young. I got hooked and haven't stopped yet!:)

A few years ago I served on a jury on a case about mortgage fraud. One of the defendants used the alias "Herbie Chesnutt". The whole room bust out with a laugh when the name was first read. Surreal kinda since most court proceedings that deal with fraud are dry and monotonous. This sudden belt of laughter stuck with me and I knew I had to use this name somewhere.
