What does your username mean?

AMD are my initials; added the p as the confirmation name (Paul) given to me 40 some-odd years ago. Put 'em all together and you get a slang word which, when added to the remainder of my username, describes my enthusiasm for playing my bass.

Of course, having just checked the urban dictionary, I find that amp'd has an alternate meaning. :D

When I play it has the impact of Thunder.

LOUD, PUNCHY, you FEEL it in your bones.

There's no escape!

Thor is the god of Thunder. And now they've made a movie about him.

I feel like THOR when I'm onstage - in charge of making the Thunder -

When I joined TB, one "R" was taken, two "RRs" was also taken.

So I'm THORRR with three "RRRs" !
And now you know the rest of the story!

It's from Watership Down.

Funny part: I registered here years ago, and have since been using a different handle. Most other places I post now, I'm "tafkat." Stands for "the artist formerly known as Thlayli". I prefer the new name, but the old one is still acceptable.

It is a colloquial name for a specific bottom dwelling fish found in NJ estuaries and tidals rivers.
Some folks call em "oyster crackers" or sea ravens.

We call them SallyGrowlers and you'll pick up a few when you drift for fluke.
