What effect is used...

Fun little ditty. Here it is on Youtube. I'm guessing it could be a reverse delay set to 100% wet, one repeat, with the bassist playing one beat ahead of the music. Or it could be a Boss SG1 Slow Gear or similar "slow attack" pedal. Or maybe they even played the recorded bass track backwards in the studio. In this Invalid Link Removed the intro is clearly a recording, and the bassist doesn't actually start playing until about 20 seconds in; and then it's hard to tell if the effect is still there or if he's just playing with the tone knob rolled all the way off.

yeah, I was guessing it was a studio trick... then again, I thought the "one beat ahead" concept could also work (useful when playing live)...

but then I remembered that there are some experienced people on TB, so that's why I asked... :) I thought there was maybe some effect I didn't know about... I'm gonna try to find the SG1, I've never heard of slow attack... sounds interesting :P maybe I'll find it useful for something else if not for this :D
