+1 for the MXR. I have the Auto Q/Wah, and I'm jonesing for the new envelope filter. MXR is the best choice for an envelope filter, from what my ears tell me.

I've been using a Groove Regulator (not the GR2) for a while and it has ended my filter search. It's simple to use, sounds amazing and plays well with all of my other effects. You should be able to snag a used one in your price range as well.
I haven't seen a piece of 3Leaf gear in the classifieds in a long time.

The only way to suggest a filter to you is to get an idea of what type of envelope filter tone you're looking for.
Since I don't know what tone you specifically want I'll just suggest the Source Audio Bass Envelope Filter. You really ought to seriously consider the Source Audio BEF. The range of filter tones you get for $120 is truly outstanding, and it's easy to recreate tones after you've dialed them in.
Under $150 I would get the Source Audio BEF and not even have the think about it. If it is your first filter or only filter it covers the entire filter spectrum and sound better than many I've tried for $200+. Don't let the Digital factor fool you into looking elsewhere.
Out of all those the GR gets the most love here. .
Anybody know if it's possible to plug in an expression pedal to the Source Audio BEF instead of a hot hand controller?
