+ For the Carvin...I have a Carvin XB75 PF and it plays REALLY nice.I had it built with lines and dots...(kind of by accident),but everyone who sees it,even up close thinks it's fretted.The neck is asymetrical,which adds ALOT to the playability.
If you are able to visit one of the Carvin factory outlets (San Diego, Hollywood, Covina, Santa Ana or Sacramento) and play some of their fretless basses by all means do so.
