What gave you serious G.A.S recently?

Warwick after Listening to a Live version of Mudvayne's "Happy?". That bass has the kind of tone that could cause instantaneous orgasms >_> (i actually heard that there is a synth effect that has done that...). But, its kinda wore down a bit when someone essentially told me that warwick suck for chord work...
Man, this sucks... because I'm sure ya'll can understand that as much as we say, "If I just had a (bass name here), that would be it." - It ain't like that.
I just got my Fender CS Jazz after 10 months and now I'm already looking to the next one.
A Fodera (Imperial or Emperor II) has been on my GAS list ever since I found out they existed. Hopefully I can own one someday.

Agreed - that is one well-designed bass. It shows what a little attention to detail can do to something that is as basic and familiar as a J-bass.

Actually, I came to this thread to post the pic below and confess to my current state of GASsiness for it, but now ... it seems in rather poor taste.
(It needs a black pickguard though)
cant say I dig that. nothing else is gassing me right now but a 75 RI jazz
I love the pearl inlays, black blocks/binding with a black bass and black pickguard seems weird to me.

you just like the LEDs
It is a nice use of the LEDs and I like how the control knobs are aligned. Too often LEDs are stuck on as ornamentation; but here they feel more integral to the design.
But I really like the streamlined bridge that has a bit of a Moderne feel and the blades in the pickups that echo the frets. I like binding in general and here it is really used well. Ordinarily I like fret markers but on this bass no markers makes a better design statement.
Right now, I'm not crazy about those thin white lines that extend the control line and the bridge pickup - doesn't really seem necessary. But since I love the rest of the bass, I'll give it a chance to grow on me.
Just did my first "gig" on bass (church worship team). Used a cheap base my wife and I bought just to tool around on at home (wife plays guitar). Got pressed into service when all 3 guys in the group who can play bass went on vacation the same week.
Loved the experience and now seriously GAS-ing for a medium-priced 5-string jazz.
