I'm going to quote myself here (though I should have spelled threads correctly), I still think the Ambassador program was bad in the end. Played a few at Chicago Music Exchange and thought they were ok. They setups weren't great and the stock string tension was insane so they weren't a blast to play for my old hands. At least one of them I played was going to need a neck shimmed to get the action reasonable. At $1200 I can't get excited about having to take a new bass home and give it a work over and just hope that it's sets up how I like. Great colours and spec's so was really hoping things would work out.....and I actually grew to like the headstocks!In all honesty I think the Ambassador thing basically killed them here on the TB. Pretty much all the treads discussing them got shut down for (fear of) shilling.
