What I learned from watching Pino record...!

I made a video about the lessons I learned (and re-learned) watching Pino record in the studio! (I also attached pictures of the basses)

Peace and Blessings,

Jeff

You did a great job. My takeaway is that Pino’s time is supreme and he is not in the business of putting the shine on himself, instead, he never fails to serve the artist and the song.

@jeffmaccora Thank for sharing those insights from an experience so few of us ever get. Pino is an amazing person and bas player, I am so happy to see him still on the scene.
My pleasure. Someone asked on YouTube asked if I could post the video from the session with audio. I'm going to forward the request and if it gets posted I'll let everyone here know. To my knowledge - Pino is playing on a lot of the album, if not all - there's another song that I haven't heard yet where he ReeeaaaALLY went in. Oh, boy!

Have you had a chance to check out this Pino/Alain cut? WHEW!

Thanks for sharing this one. I gotta ask.... Pino brings 2 vintage P basses to a session and if neither are quite working, he gets ANOTHER P bass? Are they spec'd differently? Different strings?
I have a session with David next week and I'll ask him the specifics of what happened in the studio session. It was brought up conversationally in the session & Pino did say each one of his P basses has different tones based off of string choices, pickups, etc.
