I've only had one major what if situation in my life.

My two best friends moved to go to college in Dallas. I did my time in community college, and had then got to the point where I was more than ready to transfer up and move in with them. They even went so far as to get a house with a 3rd bedroom and everything was set for me to move in. Then I started jamming with the guys in Kemo. These guys seemed like the real deal....a good band, great dedication, really fun guys to be around....I had two equally promising choices.


Eventually I decided to stay at home, go to a local college, and give this band a shot. It just may be my only chance to ever make it somewhere with music. They got a new roommate and I can still visit my best friends every now and then. Sure, living hours away from home would've been cool and all, but I had the chance and I felt I needed to take it.


I still wonder "what if" I had decided to move there for college.

The situation with my current girlfriend.

I was offered to goto Dominica to teach Music and English. I also was hoping to an acceptance to Humber, which is where I am now.
My girlfriend liked me, but didn't want to tell me. We had a whole situation before, where we dated and broke up for a year. Neither of us really got over each other.

Well, I got into Humber, and turned down Dominica. And she told me how she felt, and we're dating and happier than ever.

I always wondered...What would have happened if I went to Dominica. If I chose Dominica, and she told me how she felt, I would have stayed. No doubt.

I have a really big "what if" in my life: "What if my dad were still alive?" He died 22 years ago and he was an extremely strict person who wanted his kids to follow a "decent" profession, and I know that music didn't fit into his standards. One thing's for sure: I don't know if for better or worse, but my life's story would be completely different if he was still alive.

Actually, the correct Q&A would be..

What if: I have premarital sex with my girlfriend, with whom i am not ready or finantially stable enough to help raise a kid.
A: I could get her pregnant, and then possibly have no shot at life.

Or...you know...you use a condom and find a new activity to do when not thumping bibles.
