I bought my Reunion Blues bag new at least 25 years ago and it has been through a lot of wars and is still in good shape. However, once I started have back and knee problems I only use the Reunion Blues bag when I have jobs out of town.

I use a Mooradian Bag most of the time and my only dislike is that the fabric from the padded flaps that protect the area under the zipper occasionally get caught in the zipper and I have to fight with it a while to get it free.

My only caveat with some of the bigger bags, in my case the 1" padded Moordian, is they don't fold up very small. The Moordian stands on its own for that matter. In a club or a hall where storage is at a premium this can be a problem. Plus they are heavy.

My Moordian died after 15 or so years of service. I bought a lighter weight bag (still well padded) from another TB'r (the Gollihur bag). The weight difference is amazing. Plus it is much easier to fold up and stick in a corner or under the stage. It is not as bulletproof protective as the Moordian so it all is a trade-off. So it depends how you define BEST.

I purchased this from Bob last week and can attest to its quality and durability after at least 39 years of use, although it hasn’t been used much lately. It caught my eye on

recent visits, but I never mentioned it to him; surprised when he asked if I knew anyone who might buy it.
It is a bit dirty, but the leather trim, handles and zipper are in great shape. It is heavy and very stiff. I also have a Mooradian and old Messina bag and would rate the Mooradian as least protective, but lightest and best for stowing under a piano of the three. The Mooradian is also showing it’s age with a few holes in the pockets and wear through along the bottom.

Fast forward 4+ years from a previous post. Still use the Mooradian, an old 1988 "deluxe" version. It became their standard bag and then they made a pricier one, more padding or whatever. I never had a chance to see one. Mooradian bags are not made any longer. My Tuff Bag has been sturdy, very protective and important to a lot of people, lightweight. Another +, it folds over to be a third of its length for gig storage or a closet.
