What is the most expensive strings you have seen?

Maxima Golds retailed for over $70 a set.
I got some of the last sets the US distributor
had 10 sets for $15 a set! They're good strings,
but not worth $70 a set..
Yep, I got some in a similar deal. Sold the ones I didn't use for about $50 a set. The last set I seen on Ebay was going for about $100-120 a set. But that was a while ago. Good strings, but I liked TI's better.

I should have looked that the post dates... I keep forgetting to do that!

I wouldn't have posted my reply if I did :D

To busy looking at the pictures I took at Bass Player Live today :D

Well, its totally INSANE.

One time, i spent 133 US DOLLARS ON A SINGLE 4 STRING SET OF ELIXIRS!!!! .

In comparison, a set of D'Addario XL's costs only 70 US dollars. But it is totally insane anyways compared to the "american prices". I'm gonna buy a truckload of strings from [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] next, that will save me alot of money.

(and also, a standard MM Stingray costs 2900 US dollars new here in norway... )

Be happy for beeing an american!

OK, but can we send you our President? Where almost done with him now. :D

I am just kind of curious. ;) Actually it would also be cool if you could tell what the most expensive strings you have tried are and if they were / are worth it?

I bought and tried TI Jazz flats on a fretless. Not my thing at all. A huge waste of money for me, but others love 'em!

But I think you can order custom sets from Pyramid that may run you ~ $100 a set for 5 stringers.
