The title is self explanitory, what is the cheapest custom bass you guys know of? it's not out of wand, but of curiosity. please post link to the website if possible...

What is the worlds cheapest custom bass?

The one you make yourself, out of the tree in your backyard. You're not going to do much better than Wish is you want 4 strings. Better referring to price, not quality; I have never seen one in person to comment on that. If your level of customization is minor, buying one cheap and changing a few things is the cheapest way to go, like plagnet posted.
What is it that you want out of a custom bass that you're not getting out of a production bass? I've handled some "less expensive" custom basses and the fit and finish are generally inferior to production basses in the $1000 range.

Those are both dirt cheap epiphone bodies, about $20. The Necks are Eden about $50. They are 4 string bodies and 4 string necks.

While Wishbass (Invalid Link Removed) is the cheapest, truly "custom" instrument, there's a lot of stuff that's considered "extras" that you'd usually taken for granted, like a truss rod or a finish.
However you can still design your instrument and everything, choose your woods, etc. so I think it's a pretty good deal personally. Base price is like 500 USD or something around that.

Warmoth. Any instrument you can think of, they'll do. You have to build it yourself, though.
only if its listed on thier website, I tried to order a t-bird body without the stupid truss rod divot and they told me they couldnt do it...
Its hard to think of a custom-made bass with more available options, a higher build quality and better bang for the buck than Carvin. I've never actually owned one, but every example I've ever laid my hands on has played & sounded great, and I always do a double-take when I see the unexpectedly low price.
