I was running across a bass that Warrior is finishing up for the Texas guitar show and seen this beauty. Does anyone know what kind of wood top this is? I've never seen anything like it.

What is this beautiful Wood???

Wild guess - spalted walnut with burl / knots? I dunno, subbed to find out.
I came across a picture of a special bass build that Warrior is making for the Texas guitar show and have never seen a wood top like this. Anyone have any idea what wood this is?

Looks like a particularly dark piece of spalted burled maple.
That's genuine tree wood.
You might want to get yourself a copy of this book.
Hard to tell what it is by picture, looks dark like walnut, could also be dark maple.

I'm pretty sure that's Muurka wood, from a tree that grows in the swamps on the Planet Naboo. The Gungans consider Muurka trees to be sacred, so someone went to an awful lot of dangerous trouble to smuggle it off-planet. And, I doubt they sold it very cheaply, either. It is pretty, though....

Wrong. Klingon spalted walnut it is.
I think it's called Morning Wood.

The top on the bass on the left is buckeye burl- it’s a completely different looking wood.
Depends on the finish they put on it. The burls makes it to busy, but with a darker finish it can look okay I guess.
