My custom is from Tom Clement out of Florida. There's a Clement Owners club thread on here and there's a progress pic of mine on that thread. The pics are in post #56. They show a front an back view of the bass with all hardware installed but before the clear finish was applied

As soon as I find the #%!$#^#* cable for my digital camera I'll post a couple of newer pics. I've had the bass for about 3 weeks now and I love it and Tom's prices are pretty reasonable.

Are you to build yours yourself or are you going to have one built by a luthier? I'm not much of a woodworker so I ordered mine and I couldnt be happier. Tom hand-crafts his basses. He has at least a dozen different body styles to choose from and he will also do true custom bodies but obviously the cost goes up for a "new" body style. You also have complete freedom with hardware, pickups and electronics as well. He has a standard setup but you're also free to buy your own parts and have them shipped to him. That was pretty much my approach. Except that he had a very nice Bartolini preamp on-hand and he ordered the pickups for me. I bought the bridge and tuners and had those shipped to him along with the top wood for my body.

Tom's a member here as well but lately he's been very busy building basses and the occasional guitar.
You can look him up on the web-its www.clementbass.com

Good luck and have fun with the custom!
