I’m rocking a SR406 right now. That is a beaut tho. I like that active bands on the 4 series vs the 5. They all sound good tho.

It might as well had been a tp holder except that maybe would be more practical. Lol so I'm curious about how you like the preamp on the 406. Are they different from the 500-506? As far as I know my 505 has a proprietary Ibanez EQ. What do they use in the 406? I've heard of EMG, bartolini, and Nordstrand preamps in SR basses so I know they can vary.

I’m rocking the IBZ DX6N that came stock with it. 24 yrs later and they are holding up quite well. You can barely see the name anymore.
It has a warm fuzz to it IMO. The 506 is where they went with the Bartolini pickups. Contrast with a sharper sound IMO. Both good but a bartolini doesn’t legato a note the way I want it to personally. Both are great electronics tho.

But I don't wanna judge, it may have had some deep meaning to whoever owned it. I had stupid stuff like hair ties, cute girly bows on my bass and stuff, and if I left it on I'm sure someone would make a post saying dafuq was I thinking when messing with my bass.

Maybe a funny gimmick a bottle opener for whoever played it in some punk band.

Just like a car, if ya own, you can do what you want with it sticker wise.
