I'm not much for trolling but whoever thought that was going to be cool shouldn't be anywhere near an instrument. It would be one thing if it was practical but the way it's shaped is just going to dig into the thumb and be uncomfortable anyway.

Well it is Guitar center. I mean we should be so honoured that they even sell basses let alone know what a 6 string bass is vs a 505 that they slap a meat hook on and call it a 506. Btw I really like my 505. It's a hell of a nice bass from Ibanez. Ignore the delicate finish and the rest is an awesome bass.

I’m rocking a SR406 right now. That is a beaut tho. I like that active bands on the 4 series vs the 5. They all sound good tho.

It's a B string mute

Just pull the string up and hook it onto that dealy. Voila!
