What is your current GAS attack??

Spacelordmother an 8 string.... sooo..... bad.....

Cool idea, but it only fits right into a few situations.

Maybe I'm in those situations.

It also takes some work to get the fingering right for getting the full sound all the time.

Yeah, I hate having to practice.

You will probably find this more of a luxury instrument (which admittedly will impress a lot of people, if that's what you're into).

Maybe I just like to experiment?

Is that a Schecter Elite 5? I played one of those while I was over in New Zealand. I was amazed at the quality, although the finish (dark cherry) w/ figured maple top and gold hardware was just a tad to "bling" for my liking.

An above average Fender P.

Nothing collectable, but a light one with "the sound." With half decent fit and finish. Something I can gig or record when the P sound is the right call.

Whatever, bro. I was just sharing my experience. Last year at this time I was GASing for an 8 string and got a great deal on a Rickenbacker 8 string. 8 stings are cool instruments, but I found that there is clearly a right time and place for them and that it takes some work to get used to it.

Much Roscoe GAS will be relieved when #5622 is complete this summer.

Following that, I definitely want one each fretted/fretless in a 6 string. I'm thinking of both Roscoe and JP Basses (now by CB) for these and hope to be putting the deposit on my JP this year
