What is your dream bass?

For better or worse, I suffer from "Restless Artist Syndrome", so much like actual dreams, what captures my imagination changes from day-to-day. That being said, I know what "canvas" I prefer to work with; Jazz bodies and necks with curvy fretboards. Beyond that, there are too many options for me to be satisfied with just one.

So, while I'm cursed with this restlessness :banghead:, it's pushed me to assemble a wide variety of instruments, many of which still make me happy :smug:. (...and, hopefully, other people as well.)

Jazz bass shape, sunburst, rosewood fretless fingerboard, passive pickups. Quite common (you could say boring too), but it really speaks to me.

Black Korina jazz bass (...) ebony fretboard (...)
DiMarzio model J’s, all black

My fretless Washburn that's on the same photo shares some of the above traits you mentioned, though it's far from being a FSO. Cool instrument nonetheless. Good luck finding yours!

(...) and my dream motorcycle (...)

May I ask what it is? Fellow rider here!

OP, you say, "Make music, not love." i say, make music with love............or vice versa! :D :bassist:

per your OP/thread: i have so many "dream basses" i'm thinking about switching to flute. i've been lucky with EBs.* welcome to talkbass and good luck with both your dreams and your basses!

* if they don't work right = i disown them.
