Here's another vote for the Spector NS body style.
imho, Ned Steinberger hit a home run when he designed the Spector body shape - a great example of "form follows function".
I'm also very fond the Rickenbacker 4003/4004 body shape, and the Fender Jazz as well, but my Spector is the most comfortable bass out of the 8 that I own, and that starts to matter a bit more once you pass 45 years old, especially if you have to play four 45-min. sets in a row.
My Ric 4004Cii is a very close second though - lighter than my Spector, and almost as comfy.

I like a slightly downsized modern J-bass body like the Sadowsky 5-24 or the older Fender American Deluxe Plus. That's not to say I don't like other styles almost as much, but generally I lean toward offset, J-style bodies.

I'd have to say I love the Spector body alot. Just got the Legend Classic 5 and I love it. The old 60's fender jazz style is pretty beast too.

it's a nordstrand MM4.4 in a white musicman pickup cover that i modified with four mounting tabs. it's wired as a split p, all coils parallel, reverse p and all coils series. preamp is a 2 band stingray. IMO, the thing sounds awesome.

Any of the hybridized Spector/Warwick/Drozd/ZON/Schecter types
but then again if you were to merely look at the bass body as a work of art and not an instrument I would go for something totally avant garde like a Ritter

For me, the perfect shape is the American Dexuxe Precision with the downsized body and the cutaways for the 22 fret neck.
