What is your favorite Body shape?

Rickenbacker w/o a doubt. Acquired taste, I admit, but for a prog guy it's the best. I love the relative craziness, without going B.C. Rich stupid looking. (Not trying to troll, just my opinion on weird metal basses. For a metal guy, they probably look like a ric does to me.)

I actually think of Rickenbackers as "metal basses." Of course, not only as that, but what I prefer for metal. And everything else. Favorite body shape as well.

T-birds also look really cool, as do Guild B-301's.

"What is your favorite Body shape?"
36-24-36 of course.

But only if she's 5'3", right?

First Act's custom shop cranking out some sweet custom jobs at the moment... I find myself drawn to the Delia and Delgada shapes. Also, I've seen something that I can best describe as a "Ricken-P" in another thread which looks sweet.

Also, the Old EB-1 shape is pretty sick... hopefully, by the time I've got some money to my name, Warmoth will be offering short scale necks with their Gibson-shaped headstocks... I'd love a custom job done...

I'll take flowing curves and deep ergonomic contouring and cutaways over a cutting-board-like slab with a flat plastic facade every time.

Love, LOVE the shape of Jerzy Drozds, especially that shape. And the Zon Hyperbass felt "right" in my hands as well.

Some extremely comfortable and ergonomic basses out there that look beautiful to boot. But I also understand why people gravitate towards jazzes & P's. It's recognizable, accepted and most of all familiar.

And while my basses may not meet the first two criterion, my favorite shape is the one on my custom Stambaughs that is based on my first bass, a Guild B301. After all the other basses I've gone through over the years, these just feels like home to me.
