When I was hunting for a D.I. box, I did a Google search for
"Craigslist direct box", and found a gazillion direct boxes for sale by private parties nationwide, and ended up finding a smoking deal on a Valvotronics tube D.I., it's a wierd looking battleship grey box, that looks like it came out of a submarine, or tested for radiation on a 60's sci-fi movie. This is hands down the best sounding box I've tried, anyone else tried one of these?
It's a little bulky, and there is an updated model out there now, and if it sounds antyhing like mine, "thumbs up" from me!
