what is your favourite bass?

I don't have just one ...

Modulus Quantum 5 with bartolinis and a spalted maple top. It may never happen...

I love my Fender Jazz.
I also love my Mike Dirnt Squier that has been converted to a fretless and had pickup/electronics upgrade. Ulralite tuners on the way. Kind of like putting a Corvette engine/transmission in a Cavalier.

Of all the basses I own, or have owned, my favorite is still the Squier P-Bass Special, aka My Sexy Beast. If I had to give up all but one, this would be my absolute keeper.

Certainly, it's far from the fanciest bass out there, but one look at it and I said to myself, "If I ever decide to start learning bass, THAT is the one I wanna get!" Less than a year later, I managed to score this lovely, flawless refurb. And if I can ever get my hands on the Jazz version again (I traded one away for a Squier Jag so a protege of mine had a bass to learn on), I'll likely turn it into a P/J as well.

I would love to try out a Status Streamline. And if I loved it, then I'd wanna get one with the red tint. But the top of my "Love to Have" list would be Link Removed.

I really like my Music Man Stingrays... Next up would be my Dingwall, but I have to say I'm a Music Man guy. Best bass I ever played was a 1983 Music Man Cutlass 1.... I dream about that bass... I will have one some day!
