There’s no doubt I like flatwound strings.

D’Addario Chrome XL 45-100 flats..

Stringjoy 45-100 at the moment. They feel a bit higher tension than the gauge would normally indicate, and I really like that they're made just up the road in Nashville!

GHS Pressurewound = my #1 go-to and always-come-back-to.

As of tonight, my P bass is reunited with PW L7200 (40-96) after a 2-mth fling with the DR Nickel Lo-Riders 40-95.

PW L7200 (40-96) and GHS Progressive 130B on my Yamaha. (Unchanged)
PW M7200 (44-106) on my Fender Jazz, tuned to DGCF. (Unchanged)

I really like coated strings now after years of just playing medium gauge steel rounds, I now prefer coated light-gauge strings like DR Strings NEON 40-100 or Black Beauties.

Intrigued by the description on DM’s site .. are they roundwound strings or something in-between? .. ugh .. whatever, I checked the price in Europe .. it’s between 55 to 65 euros per pack

I’ve used Roto rounds for years, but have recently switched to the Marcus Miller super brights. They sound and feel great.

Yes they are super round wound strings..a little pricey but worth every penny..

Depends on the bass.

My Precision only gets flats, specifically, LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats.

Everything else gets roundwound strings. Even then, depends on the bass as to what brand. D'Addario NYXL on my Fender Am Pro II Jazz V, Stock Fender strings on my Fender Deluxe Active Jazz V, SIT Nickel Powerwounds on my Carvin LB-70. The Gretsch G-2220 just has the stock strings on it right now. The kit bass I am building will be getting Rotosound Swing 66s.

I have come to love LaBella Gold White Nylon wrapped strings. .050 - .105. They have great sustain and ring, they sound great for multiple styles of sound, and they feel really good.
I had been a D Dario half round player for a long time. These feel best and sound great on my Fender Custom Shop Active Jazz Bass. (they sound great with a pick as well!)

But...despite using flats on my fretless jazz bass, I decides to give a try on my sire v7 (freted) with a Set of 9050. Now the sky is more blue, the flowers smell better and everything is shiny.
