I've got a Sansamp PSA on the way now to try. We'll see how it compares to my current sound using the Bmax-T. If I can program it to cop the Bmax-T sound at the least then I'll likely get rid of the Bmax-T and then move on to addition sound settings I can create with the PSA. Pick up a rack or footpedal compressor if I feel I need it, etc.

Then move on to trying other rack pre's.

Still wanting to try the SWR Interstellar, Peavey Max Pre, GK 2001RBP, Fender TBP-1, maybe Ampeg SVP-pro and possibly Rocktron Blue Thunder, but I think it's at the bottom of my list at this point.

How far I continue to go testing just depends if one of these makes a huge impact on me or not.

Depression is often conquered by new gear!
To be completely honest, I rarely use the Rack now that I have a GB Shuttle. Much easier to carry around!

I use a SansAmp RBI into a Behringer EP2500 Power Amp or my QSC CX302 power amp.

I use the blend knob sparingly and the EQ is set flat (12 o'clock). So basically it is just the sound of my bass amplified. And I like it like that.

Don't know how they do it, but they consistently beat everyone's prices.

Not bragging, but my friend, Trip Wamsley, helped me set it up over a year ago, and to this day it's still the optimum setting.

I plan on getting an RBI for my SVTII for some grit as i dont run the SVT loud enough for natural overdrive

For the time being I've split my 6 space rack into two 4's. Stewart Power amp, power strip, in one, and my pre's and effects, etc in the other. Waiting for the Sansamp PSA to come in. Planning on keeping the Bmax-T around along side the PSA until I see/find which wins out and gets the most usage due to sound and versatility. Then I'll likely get rid of the loser and move on to hopefully find something that solves the problem the loser failed at.

Who knows though... last night my current rig of Bmax-T for core sound and VF-1 adapting that sound as needed was killing. :: shrug ::

When I bought my Super Redhead from them 5 or so years ago, they beat the crap outta everyone, shipping included.
