What size allen wrench for Fender HiMass bridge 5 string

Just wondering if anyone knows what size allen wrench is needed for the Fender 5 string Hi-Mass bridge as found on the MIM Deluxe Dimesion bass. I have dozens laying around but even the smallest ones I have are too big. Thanks for any information.

Generally 1/16" but some MIM is metric like 1.5mm

For anyone coming across this like I did while banging my head against the wall … my 4 string Fender hi mass bridge on a MIM P bass takes a 1.27mm hex, one size down from the smallest on most hex key sets.

Thanks! I’d leaned towards metric first after buying a set with every size under the sun (not knowing the origin of the bridge and having read that MIM often leans metric for hardware … and damnit I swear I’d tried .05 the day before!! Ha ha.) But I just verified with mine and .05 is indeed a better fit.
So .05 SAE is correct, but 1.27 metric will work in a pinch.

I’m pretty sure my MIM Mustang (made this year) came with a 1.5mm. Comparing it to another 1.5mm and a 1/16th (the closest standard equivalent), it looks like a 1.5mm to my eyes. Though I could be wrong. And that’s just one guitar.

If it's a normal Mustang Bass bridge (not the player PJ one which is just a normal bent plate bass bridge), it's probably sourced from Japan. Fender Japan stuff is always metric.

Edit: all the hardware for Mexico Mustang Basses could be sourced from Japan and be metric. I think the player version has the Fender Japan standard bass tuners

It is the player PJ one. But maybe that could be sourced from elsewhere for whatever reason.

I think you're correct. Fender Japan reissued the Mustang bass first, so rather than making new hardware, they probably sourced it all from Japan.
